‘Sister Wives’ Dad Kody Brown Expecting First Child With Fourth Wife Robyn

Break out the balloons… for the 17th time!

Kody Brown, patriarch of the Brown family featured on TLC’s reality polygamy show, “Sister Wives,” is expecting a child with his fourth wife, Robyn, a TLC rep confirmed to Access Hollywood on Saturday.

The impending bundle of joy will be Kody and Robyn’s first child together — and the 17th child for the growing family, which also includes wives Meri, Christine, and Kody’s first and only legal wife, Christine.

“You should have seen the look on his face when we found out,” Robyn, 31, told People of her husband’s excitement over her baby news. “It was priceless.”

“I’m overjoyed,” the 43-year-old father told the mag. “This connects Robyn and I together in a way that nobody can take away.”

The expectant mother also revealed she’s hoping to bring the new baby into the world from the comfort of her own home.

“If Kody had things his way, he’d have me go to the hospital,” Robyn told the mag. “But I just like having home births. I’m not big into sitting around in a hospital.”

Robyn — who came into the family with three kids of her own — said her sister wives’ children have been very supportive of her pregnancy and even called her out when she recently reached for a tempting iced coffee.

“[They] said, ‘Oh no you don’t. You shouldn’t be drinking coffee,”’ Robyn told the mag. “It was cute. They’re so protective. And I can’t even tell you how many times a day I have kids kissing my belly.”

A rep for TLC was not immediately available for comment on the baby news when contacted by Access Hollywood on Saturday.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Kody — with his four wives in tow –stopped by Access Hollywood Live last month to shed some light on their family’s unconventional ways and set the rumors straight about jealousy between the four ladies.

“You know what the hardest part is? It’s not the jealousy, it’s the family meetings,” wife Christine told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover at the time. “It’s meeting after meeting, and scheduling after scheduling to plan activities, and then we’re late!”

“There is jealousy,” wife Robyn added. “But kind of the whole point is to get over yourself and kind of look out for other people’s needs as well.”

Additionally, the women of the Brown family insisted they’re content with their polygamist lifestyle, and equated their husband’s ability to meet the needs of their enormous family with the powers of a superhero.

“We think he’s Superman — we really do,” wife Janelle enthused at the time. “He’s a hands-on dad, very involved.”

“And the first thing he says when he walks through the door is, ‘How are you doing? How are you feeling, sweetheart?’” Robyn added.

“And 16 people go, ‘Great’!” Billy laughed.
