‘Dancing With The Stars’ Recap: Which Team Is Out?
It’s down to the final four on Season 19 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
(Spoiler Alert! This story contains the elimination results from Monday’s “DWTS.”)
The quarterfinals marked the end of Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd’s memorable “Dancing” journey. Carrying on to next week’s semi-finals are Bethany Mota and Derek Hough, Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson, and Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas.

Despite not making it to the last round, Tommy told co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews that his time on the show was moving.
“Everything,” Tommy answered, when Erin asked what the show meant to him. “I just showed that old stoners can perform when they need to.”

Although “Pretty Little Liars” actress Janel Parrish and her pro, Val Chmerkovskiy, topped the leaderboard, the big news of the night (outside of Tommy’s elimination) was Alfonso hitting the dance floor (even though his doctor suggested it would be unwise).
Determined to make the finals, Alfonso took to the stage with Witney for the first of two rounds. Despite clearly being in excruciating pain with his back injury, the actor managed to pull off his first routine to the tune of 36 out of 40 points (9s from each of the four judges).
“No one likes dancing through the pain, but glory lasts forever,” Len Goodman said. “Get through it. Get into that final. Well done.”
Carrie Ann Inaba said Alfonso’s injury helped his posture. “Go safe, but go hard,” she added.

Alfonso was tearful as he listened to the scores, partially due to the pain, but he told “DWTS” co-host Erin Andrews of his spirit, “It’s just being a fighter. I’m not a quitter.”
The actor was much smoother in his second routine ââ¬â a contemporary number with Witney — which earned them 39 points (10s from all the judges but Len), for a total score of 75 out of 80.
“I tell you, working through that pain, my admiration knows no bounds. Well done,” Len commented, following their routine.
Carrie Ann was also wowed.
“This is how you pave the path to the finals because that was ridiculous,” she said.
“Dancing with the Stars” continues next week on Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
