‘DWTS’: Tony Dovolani On Kim Zolciak’s ‘Sad’ Exit: ‘Blessing In Disguise’

Tony Dovolani and Kim Zolciak Biermann’s “Dancing with the Stars” journey was cut short on Monday night due to Kim’s health scare.

The “Real Housewives” star and her pro partner were eliminated on Monday, after being given the red light to travel from her doctors after suffering a mini-stroke.

Speaking to Access Hollywood after the shocking news, Tony said Kim was “very disappointed” over leaving the competition.

“Kim is already in tears. I know she’s crying right now,” he said. “I’m disappointed, everybody’s disappointed. Because nobody wants to see somebody go home that way.”

Adding, “And the fact that we were showing improvement! You know she was really hooked. She was starting to like get in, get on board. And that’s what makes it hard.”

While the “DWTS” veteran was upset by his and Kim’s situation, Tony said it could’ve been much more serious had Kim not gotten the treatment she needed.

“In some ways it’s a blessing in disguise,” he explained. “This is a wakeup call for anybody that’s 37, 35, 30.

“Doesn’t matter what age, if you’re doing anything physically strenuous, go check yourself out,” he added.
