AMC Orders 15 Episodes Of ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 2

“Fear The Walking Dead” will more than double its episode count for its second season.

AMC announced it had picked up 15 episodes of “FTWD’s” second season, during the Television Critics Association Summer Tour on Friday.

The cable network confirmed earlier this year it had ordered a second run of the show. On Friday, it specified the episode count.

The new show from AMC, which is set in Los Angeles in the early days of the zombie outbreak, premieres on Sunday, August 23 at 9 PM ET/PT on AMC. Season 1 is six episodes long.

It stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia and Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris.
