Nick Gordon’s Stepfather: My Son ‘Distraught’ Over Bobbi Kristina’s Death, Not Suicidal

Following the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, a report claimed that boyfriend Nick Gordon was suicidal. However, Access Hollywood has exclusively learned otherwise.

Nick Gordon’s stepfather, Jack Walker Jr., spoke to Access Hollywood’s Stephanie Bauer exclusively giving an update on his grieving son.

“He’s distraught. I can’t put it into words right now,” he explained.

Nick’s father went on to deny that his 25-year-old son was suicidal or on suicide watch as had been reported on Sunday.

Walker also spoke about the tragic passing of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter.

“Krissi was a blessing to this world, she had the power to brighten the day of anyone in her presence. She will dearly be missed,” he said.

On Monday afternoon, Nick’s mother also released a statement to Access Hollywood in the wake of Bobbi Kristina’s death.

“The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time,” Michele Gordon said.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Bobbi Kristina died on Sunday. She was 22.

“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family,” the Houston family said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Sunday night. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Bobbi Kristina’s death comes nearly six months after police and rescue personnel responded to a 911 call at Bobbi Kristina’s Atlanta home on January 31, 2015.
