Miley Cyrus On ‘The Twilight Saga’: ‘I Don’t Believe In It’
Miley Cyrus may be a teen, but she isn’t being swept up in the craze over “The Twilight Saga.”
In an interview with Nikolina from Canton, Ohio’s Q92 earlier this week, the pop sensation said she isn’t on Team Edward or Team Jacob.
“I’ve never seen it and nor will I ever,” she said.
When asked why, Miley said she couldn’t get behind the franchise.
“I don’t believe in it,” she said.
“I don’t like vampires,” she continued. “I don’t like any of the stuff. I don’t like the wolf that pops out on the screen when I’m watching my TV at night. I don’t like it. I don’t want anything to do with it. I don’t like the shirts, I don’t like anything about it.”
Miley said that despite the fanaticism surrounding the franchise, she can’t sink her teeth into the series, whose second installment, “New Moon,” premiered in Los Angeles last night.
“People get… really into it,” she said. “People always fall in love with the characters… It makes me kind of like, I don’t know. I’m not into it.”
But Miley did admit that not being part of the Twi-Hard group makes her feel a little left out.
“I feel really lame because everyone is so excited and I’m like, ‘Don’t even talk about it,’” she said.
