Janet Jackson Visits Hospital Suffering From Flu; Cancels ‘SNL’ Performance
Janet Jackson was forced to visit a Los Angeles hospital on Monday night, Access Hollywood has learned.
Luckily, the pop star only had a case of the flu, according to a rep for the singer.
“[Janet] did go to the hospital because she’s been battling this crazy flu like everyone else,” the singer’s rep told Access. “But, she wasn’t admitted and she is home.”
Access has also learned that Janet’s bout with the flu has forced the singer to cancel her scheduled “Saturday Night Live” performance, planned for the weekend.
“SNL” has yet to announce who will join this week’s host, Jonah Hill, as the replacement musical guest.
The hospital trip and “SNL” cancellation come on the heels of Janet’s new album, “Discipline,” debuting at the top of the Billboard album charts last week. “Discipline” is the singer’s first chart-topping album in seven years.
