‘The Walking Dead’: Xander Berkeley Joins Season 6 Cast

Xander Berkeley has joined the cast of “The Walking Dead.”

The “24” and “Nikita” alum is playing an as-yet-undisclosed role, and will make his debut on the show in the second half of Season 6, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to TVLine’s sources (the site first reported the news), Xander is not playing villain Negan, a bad guy from the comics, who is a leader of a group of survivors.

Previously announced new Season 6 cast members include Ethan Embry, who is playing Carter, a construction worker, “Straight Outta Compton’s” Corey Hawkins, who stars as supply runner Heath, and “Nurse Jackie’s” Merritt Weaver, who is playing Dr. Denise Cloyd.

“The Walking Dead” Season 6 premieres October 11 at 9 PM ET/PT on AMC.
